Description Edit

Super Paper Mario is a game for the Nintendo Wii. This is a glitch involving the Life Shroom where you can get an extra jump after the animation ends. Specifically, there is a frame (1/60th of a second) where the game thinks Mario is standing on solid ground before realizing he is in midair. During this frame, you can either hit 2 to jump again, or you can hit A to change from 3D to 2D and get an extra jump easier this way.

In this video, I demonstrate how you can use this extra jump to skip Freeing Boomer from his chest and using him to hit the blue switch normally. Getting enough height without additional help is very difficult, so I created a setup using a Shell Shock to damage me in midair instead of 3D damage. As the text afterwards implies, Boomer still joins your party after the end of Chapter 2-1.
